I was so happy with a similar piece made of feathers from a lot of different birds that I wanted to explore making others based on this theme. So one day Joy and I began searching for lots of interesting feathers to do this. At the end of the day, we were surprised that we had only gotten as far as selecting and preparing feathers from one kind of bird--the peacock. These feathers are all from a peacock's wing--except for the vertical display feather and the long grey one at the bottom, which is the true tail feather. The display feathers grow from the bird's back.
