Believing I needed to paint with a brush to be taken seriously, I spent years exploring but not quite finding what I was seeking. When my love for drawing and soft pastels met, it was the beginning of my new artist's life.

I like to paint spontaneously and gesturally, making visual suggestions. Often the painting leads me. I am interested in capturing a moment, the essence or impression of subject and a moment in time rather than in documentation. My objective is to engage in a visual adventure through layers of discovery, ambiguity and mystery.
