i began this project over two years ago when i gave up figurative work in my painting and drawing in favor of animals. the biggest problem that faces all living creatures on this planet is humanity's impact on this world. hippo-habitat loss, invasive species, pollution, and over-harvesting are the major impacts to the worlds biodiversity. but what i do as an artist…addressing these problems requires a positive approach a reminder to people to take joy in this life and the life on this unique planet even as we must face difficult truths about ourselves and how we take care of each other.
