Victory Looking Elk
Creature Comforts
Print-work is Spiritual-work. Much of what I create is inspired from personal relationships; with animals, nature, and the hearts of the people who love them. We all have a special story with the pets that we have lived full lifetimes with; in stories, and memories that will last our lifetime and beyond.
Born in Glasgow, Montana, I am a proud Tribal member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes in Poplar, Montana. My family name is Looking Elk, and my Grandparents are Lavonne and Reverend Simon Looking Elk. My family is descended from the original Looking Elk and his wife Silvia Looking Elk, who were survivors of the Wounded Knee Massacre in 1890. My entire life has been spent in the Pacific Northwest, and I call Olympia, WA home. I am a 2024 graduate of The Evergreen State College and currently work for the Puyallup Tribe of Indians.
