Cathy Richardson
Cathy Richardson was born in Washington DC in 1949 and grew up in Falls Church, Virginia. She has a B.A. from Boston University and an M.A. and
Ph.D. from Harvard, all in Geology. Cathy turned to art in the mid 1980's
after many years as a geologist.
Her formal studies in glass include:
Pilchuck Glass Studio- 1991
Corning Glass Studio- 1996, 2000, 2003 and 2006
Bowling Green State University- 1997-99
Chris Buzzini Studio- 2004
At Touchstone Glass Cathy works with her son, Colin and husband, Steve in a family business located in Winona, Minnesota. The beautiful three-dimensional environments in her paperweights and marbles express her meticulous attention to detail and life long love of nature.
